Columbus Early Learning Centre (ELC) was a newly purpose built boutique childcare centre in Ryde entering a highly competitive and saturated market. Established around tailored learning and a “personal best” philosophy, it required  complete brand creation and visual identity to support launch and differention from competitors.

To firstly develop a logo, then a cohesive brand strategy (print and digital) plus visual identity that captured the centre’s adventurous yet academic spirit, while establishing credibility, trust and differentiation within a crowded early learning landscape. The logo and any visual expression of the centre was to reflect the spirit of the explorer Christopher Columbus.

Led end-to-end brand development including background research, market analysis, brand proposal with market cut-through and identity creation. Collaborated closely with the Centre Director to articulate mission, values and positioning, translating these into a clean, polished visual system anchored by a pictorial logo inspired by the exploratory ethos of Columbus. Delivered corporate identity guidelines and foundational brand assets to support launch and future growth.

Successfully launched the centre with a distinctive, professional brand presence that differentiated it within a competitive market, supporting strong initial positioning and parent engagement at market entry- supported by the high turn out on the inaugural 'Open Day'.
